THE RESEARCH

11%

Only 1 in 10 financial planners believe their clients are emotionally ready for retirement.

The Financial Planning Association's 2025 survey found more than half of financial planners believed their clients were financially prepared — but only 11% believed they were emotionally ready. Client fears centered on losing identity, losing purpose, and not knowing who they'd be without work.

That gap is exactly what Winning@Retirement™ is designed to close.

WHAT you'll walk away with

Four pillars this training will strengthen:

01

PILLAR 1

Identity

Strength

The self that built the career doesn't retire. Carry who you are forward, not leave it behind.

02

PILLAR 2

Relevance &

Mattering

Experience doesn't expire. Its expression simply needs to evolve.

03

PILLAR 3

Connection & Belonging

Meaningful connection in this season doesn't happen by default. It gets designed.

04

PILLAR 4

Structure & Intentional Rhythm

Freedom without architecture quietly defaults to something smaller than it should be.

Meet Lori Harrow

We plan extensively
for the person.

I spent decades as a mental health therapist guiding people through major life transitions. When I began thinking seriously about my own retirement, I noticed something my clinical training made impossible to ignore: We plan extensively for the financial side of retirement. But very few of us plan for the identity side. The shift in how you see yourself. The quiet restructuring of your days. The subtle discomfort of no longer being the person people turn to. The moment someone asks what you do now — and you hesitate. That's not a personal failing. It's a predictable part of a transition that almost nobody prepares you for. This training is for the professionals quietly asking:

What am I for now?

If that question is anywhere in the back of your mind — this is for you. — Lori

This is a Paragraph Font

This isn't advice.
It's retirement architecture.

What this is

  • A clinically-informed framework for the identity shifts retirement brings

  • Practical tools for designing relevance, rhythm, and meaning in this season

  • An honest conversation about what accomplished professionals are quietly navigating

What this isn't

  • Another "stay busy and find your passion" pep talk

  • Reinvention culture disguised as retirement support

  • Generic advice built for someone who hasn't spent decades building something meaningful

These aren't
hypothetical

I didn't expect to feel this untethered. I know I'm still capable - so why do I suddenly feel less solid?

My days are full. But they're not meaningful. I'm afraid I'm slowly shrinking into a smaller version of myself without realizing it.
